This course will enable you to draw from a deep bank of knowledge and information regarding the body, skeletal variation, and meridian theory.
Most importantly after this course, you will feel very confident in approaching students in your classes who need assistance or alternative postures, as your teaching skillset will be broadened immensely.
Fully accredited with Yoga Alliance, this 50 Hour Teacher Training emphasises the importance in having the sensitivity to ask the right questions and work collaboratively with each student until they feel at ease.
You will develop skills in this course that go beyond the scope of Yin, and will be invaluable in all of your yoga classes as a teacher.

About Karina Smith
Having a background in dance and performance has always been the foundation for Karina’s love of movement. It naturally guided her to yoga, and she did her teacher training at the Australia Yoga Academy (AYA) in 2010. Following on from that Karina spent 6 months travelling around India absorbing as much from the motherland as possible.
These days Karina’s teaching passion is Yin Yoga. After studying with Paul Grilley and Bernie Clark, Karina has now created her own 50hr Yin Yoga teacher training program that she facilitates in Melbourne.
Karina is also on the education staff at The Australian Yoga Academy and lectures in Anatomy, Meditation, Language skills, and Yin Yoga. She is also one of the student mentors and facilitates a weekly teaching development practice for the current students at the school.
Academically Karina has studied anatomy and physiology in depth at Latrobe University when she was enrolled in her masters of podiatric practice. At the halfway mark she shifted across to Southern School, where she is now in her final semester of Chinese Medicine; Acupuncture and herbal medicine studies, and is looking forward to setting up her private practice in 2020.
